Amy K. Dacey is Executive Director of the Sine Institute of Policy & Politics at American University. For more than two decades, she managed prominent national organizations, and advised leading elected officials and candidates. Amy served as CEO of the Democratic National Committee. Under her leadership, the DNC expanded its diversity program and invested in technology, social media and several other critical programs, and reduced its multimillion-dollar debt. Amy joined the DNC from EMILY’s List where she served as Executive Director. Prior to EMILY’s List Amy was Government Relations Director and as Senior Advisor to the International Secretary Treasurer at Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Before joining SEIU she held posts at various political organizations, including Fund for America, Keeping America’s Promise Political Action Committee, John Kerry for President, the DSCC, the DCCC and The National Foundation for Women. Amy also worked for the late Congresswoman Louise Slaughter in Congressional office. She has a deep knowledge of US elections: Federal, State and Local, US party system, policy and government Affairs, labor movement, progressive infrastructure, and women and elections.
