Support for Nonprofit Organizations

Welcome! The Center for Leadrship & Community Engagement (CLCE, pronounced "slice") is American University’s hub for community outreach, volunteering, and service-learning.

This page offers a list of opportunities and resources for nonprofits who engage with AU students and the AU community. To meet with a representative from our office and find out how we may be able to support your efforts, use the links below.

Partnering with CLCE

CLCE makes a distinction between organizations we work with and our “Community Partners.” Community Partners are organizations that have committed to a long-lasting partnership with AU and its students.

Community Partners complete semesterly Volunteer Needs Surveys so CLCE can match student volunteers with Community Partner needs, provide feedback on experiences with CLCE and AU students, attend exclusive networking and volunteer recruitment events, and more!
