Humphrey Fellowship Program atÌý Washington College of Law

The Hubert H.ÌýHumphreyÌýFellowship Program is a Fulbright Exchange activity sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State.

Fellowships are granted competitively to professional candidates around the world who show a commitment to public service in either the public or private sector. American University (AU) has served as a host institution for theÌýHumphreyÌýProgram since 1980. The 2024-2025 Humphrey Fellowship Year

The American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) is thrilled to welcome the 2024-2025 cohort of Humphrey Fellows, from nine countries across the globe—Brazil, Cameroon, China, Georgia, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Serbia, and Slovakia—these exceptional individuals have embarked on an exciting journey of professional development and cultural exchange.
The first week was all about getting acquainted with their new surroundings. With the support of our dedicated program staff, the Fellows navigated the practicalities of life in the U.S., from opening bank accounts and setting up phone lines to finding their way around their new homes. The warm welcome from their community hosts set the tone for a year of enriching experiences and lasting connections. Read More
